Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brutal Rapist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Koslov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koslov has chosen Requiem for a Dream as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rapist fails with the takedown
and Koslov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rapist closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rapist fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Koslov avoids it really well and circles away.
Koslov throws a series of punches but Rapist moves out of range.
Koslov throws a right and a left that Rapist avoids nicely.
Rapist shoots for a double leg takedown but Koslov sprawls well. He's pushed Rapist's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Koslov counters with a three punch combo that has Rapist backing up. Rapist nods at Koslov to acknowledge the strikes.

Koslov works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Koslov instigates a clinch.
Koslov lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rapist backwards.
Koslov lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Koslov throws a punch but it's blocked by Rapist.
Koslov has a couple of punches blocked by Rapist.
Koslov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Koslov looks to land a combination. Rapist sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Rapist shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Rapist wants to take Koslov's back here but Koslov is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Rapist goes for an armbar but Koslov turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Koslov.

Brutal Rapist overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Igor Koslov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Rapist is looking for a kimura but Koslov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rapist to get the leverage.
Rapist is working for a kimura but Koslov is defending it quite comfortably.
Rapist is looking to take a break and control but Koslov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rapist stalling away here and it's allowed Koslov to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
