Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Machida Alonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Nurse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nurse is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Neon Genesis Evangelion. On his way into the cage it seems that Machida Alonso has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Machida Alonso seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Machida Alonso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Phil Nurse!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alonso takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Alonso.
Nurse fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Alonso.
Alonso shoots for a double leg takedown but Nurse sprawls well. He's pushed Alonso's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nurse circles away from the clinch attempt
and Nurse counters with a low kick, right behind Alonso 's knee.
Nurse lands with a shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alonso throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nurse's waist but Nurse gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alonso off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Machida Alonso. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Alonso is breathing heavily.
Alonso shoots for a takedown but Nurse saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nurse lands a big head kick that sends Alonso tumbling to the mat! Nurse takes a step backwards and waves Alonso back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Machida Alonso has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nurse moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Phil Nurse is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Alonso gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
