Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elias Virtanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Fickett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Virtanen comes to the cage accompanied by Haittavaikutus - Matkalla. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fickett takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Fickett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fickett shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Virtanen pinned against the cage. Virtanen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Virtanen turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Virtanen drives through and clinches with Fickett against the cage.
Virtanen prevents Fickett from breaking the clinch.
Fickett jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Virtanen walks away with a smile on his face. Fickett gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Virtanen looks for the body kick but Fickett saw that one coming.
Virtanen connects with a solid leg kick.
Fickett lands a jab to the head.
Virtanen lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Virtanen blocks a head kick by Fickett.
Virtanen keeps Fickett at a distance using the push kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Good leg kick by Virtanen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fickett pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Elias Virtanen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Virtanen moves into the clinch successfully.
Virtanen lands a nice uppercut.
Fickett is trying to push Virtanen away but Virtanen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Virtanen.
It looks like Brad Fickett has been cut.
Virtanen lands a knee to the head.
A frustrated look appears on Fickett's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Fickett is trying to force a seperation but Virtanen has the dominant position.

Elias Virtanen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brad Fickett.
Virtanen tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Virtanen has Fickett pressed against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Virtanen.
Fickett's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Fickett can't break the clinch.
Virtanen tries to land a knee to the head but Fickett blocks with his arms.
Virtanen lands an elbow inside.

Fickett fails to pull guard.
Fickett wants a takedown.
Virtanen lands a nice uppercut.
Fickett is still on wobbly legs! Can Virtanen finish him?

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Virtanen has Fickett pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Fickett is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Virtanen - that's hurt Fickett badly! Oh, another knee lands and Fickett is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Fickett doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Elias Virtanen!
