Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shim Changmin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genghis Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shim Changmin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Genghis Khan!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Changmin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Khan.
Changmin misses with a series of wild punches.
Changmin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Khan shoots in looking for a takedown. Changmin tries to sprawl out of it but Khan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Changmin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Khan walks into a stiff left hand from Changmin.
Changmin lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A decent looking cross lands there for Changmin.
Khan shoots in looking for a takedown but Changmin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Khan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Khan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Changmin, pushing him back against the cage.

Khan shoots in for a takedown but Changmin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A left and a right from Changmin both land. Nice combination.

Changmin tries to bum rush Khan with a series of wild strikes but Khan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Khan tries to close the distance and clinch but Changmin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Khan shoots in for a takedown but Changmin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Khan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Changmin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Khan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Horrible takedown by Khan or perhaps it was just good defense by Changmin which made him look bad.

Khan shoots in and drives through. Changmin sprawls well.

Changmin cracks Khan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Shim Changmin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Khan throws a combination that misses
enabling Changmin to counter with a crisp jab.
Changmin closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Changmin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Khan circles away quickly and effectively.
Khan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Changmin connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Khan scrambles back to his feet.
Changmin's corner calls for a 1-2. Changmin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Khan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Changmin pinned against the cage. Changmin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Khan takes a body punch but keeps moving.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Khan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Changmin is looking to escape.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Changmin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
