Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anderson Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz misses with a wild body shot.
Silva jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Diaz lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Silva has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Silva and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Diaz looks to land a right hand but Silva moved out of range.
Silva lands a left and a right that send Diaz crashing to the mat, dazed. Silva thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Diaz is rocked!
Good leg kick by Silva there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Diaz is still on wobbly legs! Can Silva finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Diaz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the ropes.
Diaz seems to have recovered his senses.
Diaz tries to pull guard but Silva won't allow it.
Diaz tries a body shot but Silva blocks it.
Silva on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Diaz tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Silva avoids it.
Diaz lands a body punch in the clinch.
Diaz lands a hook that snaps the head of Silva backwards.
Diaz is trying to push Silva away but Silva has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Diaz as Silva tries to tie him up.

Diaz tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Silva avoids it.
Diaz lands a hook to the side of the head.
Diaz wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Silva has him pressed against the ropes.
Diaz tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Diaz keeps control of Silva as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Diaz will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Silva up against the ropes.
Diaz gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Diaz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Diaz is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jack Diaz hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Silva keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Diaz.
Silva swinging wildly here.
Silva lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Diaz moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.
Diaz misses with a jab to the body
and Silva counters with a thumping low kick.
Diaz throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.

Diaz fails to land with a series of punches.

Silva swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Diaz counters by clinching up.

Diaz digs a right hand underneath Silva's ribcage. Silva let out a lung full of air as it connected.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Diaz pulls guard successfully.
Diaz wants to sweep but no luck.
Diaz is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Anderson Silva will probably get the nod.

Diaz scores with a nice hook to the head.

Diaz is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Silva.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Diaz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Diaz throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Diaz ducks right into an uppercut from Silva.
Diaz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Diaz looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
A punch combination from Silva misses.
Silva throws a right hand that Diaz ducks under and follows up with a left that Diaz also avoids with ease.

Diaz throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Silva avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Silva takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Diaz pivots, looking for a leg kick but Silva is out of range and Diaz settles back down.
Diaz dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Silva.

and Silva counters with a two punch combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva drops Diaz with a beautiful combination! Diaz stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Silva is looking for the KO!
A head kick by Silva - that's a beauty! Diaz is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Silva can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
