Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tuco Salamanca!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Days tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Salamanca manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Salamanca looks to score with a jab to the body but Days is just out of range.
Days thuds his shin into the meat of Salamanca's side.
Days throws a nice head kick!
Salamanca misses with a looping left.
Salamanca misses with a double jab
and Days counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Salamanca is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Tuco Salamanca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Salamanca misses with an uppercut
and Days counters with a good low kick that Salamanca was not able to check.

Salamanca throws a left and a right that both miss
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Days defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Salamanca.
Salamanca ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Days moves away.

Days uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Salamanca.

Salamanca misses with an uppercut
and Days makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Salamanca really felt that one!
Days throws a leg kick which misses Salamanca's front leg but catches the back leg as Salamanca tries to avoid it.
Days throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Salamanca's head.

Days is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Salamanca can do to turn this around?

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Salamanca might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Days has got the better of the exchanges.

Days connects with a leg kick. Salamanca looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Salamanca.

Salamanca has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Days.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Days connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Tuco Salamanca has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Salamanca crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Days - the referee stops the clock and Salamanca gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Days. Salamanca manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Salamanca takes a kick to the side of the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Days lets loose with a powerful body kick. Salamanca will feel that in the morning.
Days plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


The cut above Tuco Salamanca's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Days stalks Salamanca and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Salamanca's face. Salamanca staggers backwards, shaken.
Eddie Days is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

and Days counters with a flying knee. Nice.


Tuco Salamanca's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Well Days has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
