Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Duran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saul Hudson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duran's entrance music is Immortale Technique - Death March. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Saul Hudson!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duran tries to clinch up but Hudson circles away and keeps his distance.
Duran tests Hudson's chin there with a solid looking shot.


It looks like Saul Hudson has been cut.
Duran ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hudson moves away.
Hudson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Duran on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Duran on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Duran wants to clinch.
Duran misses with a jab, cross combination.
The fight stays on the outside here - Duran looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Nice straight punches there by Hudson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hudson.

Duran displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hudson throws out the jab.
Hudson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hudson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Some wild striking there from Duran.
Hudson shoots in but no luck this time.
Duran connects with the punch.
Duran tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hudson is able to avoid easily.

Duran closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hudson did well to prevent Duran getting side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Hudson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Duran postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hudson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Duran, into his guard.

Duran wants to get back to his feet but Hudson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Duran wants to stand but Hudson is controlling the position.
Hudson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Duran preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Hudson wants to control from the top but Duran keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Saul Hudson.
Duran scores with a three punch combo!

Hudson shoots in and bounces Duran off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Duran is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hudson is trying to control but can't.

Duran is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hudson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Duran.
Hudson is refusing to be controlled, as Duran sits in half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Duran is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hudson is just riding it out for now. Duran eventually gives up the hold.
Hudson is trying to maintain the position but Duran is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Duran tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hudson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Duran.

Duran closes the distance and clinches.
Duran tries to break free but Hudson pushes him back against the cage.
Duran is trying to break the clinch but Hudson has him pressed against the cage.

Hudson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Duran avoids it.
Hudson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Duran up against the cage.

Duran wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Hudson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Hudson needs to keep his hands up - Duran had a free shot at his head there.
Duran looks to land a combination but Hudson avoids it well.
Duran misses with the combination.
Duran lands an overhand right.
Hudson looks for a takedown but Duran sprawls well.
Duran throws out a loose jab but Hudson uses good head movement to avoid it.

Hudson looks to score with a jab to the body but Duran is just out of range.
Duran tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hudson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hudson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hudson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hudson keeps the fight on the outside.
Duran fails in his attempt to clinch.
Duran defending well as Hudson loads up on a big left hand.
Duran misses with a combination
and Hudson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Hudson missing with a left hand there. Duran was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hudson circles away from the clinch attempt.

Duran rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hudson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Duran's knee momentarily.

Duran chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hudson can pounce on him.
Duran throws a right and a left that both miss.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hudson throws out a powerful jab.
Duran lands a head shot.
Duran ducks under a wild hook from Hudson.
Duran's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hudson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Duran scrambles back to his feet.

Duran slips under a jab.
Hudson slips a straight right by Duran.
Hudson scoring well with a low kick there.
Hudson fails to land the takedown.
Mike Duran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saul Hudson.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Duran misses with a wild combination.
Hudson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Mike Duran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hudson scores with a decent looking hook.
Duran walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mike Duran will probably get the nod.

Duran swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hudson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Duran.
Hudson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Hudson misses with an uppercut.

and Hudson counters with a takedown into side control.

Duran takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Hudson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Duran is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hudson decides to stand back up. Hudson steps back and let's Duran get back to his feet.

Hudson moves out of range of the strikes.
Mike Duran is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sloppy strikes from Duran. Those never looked like landing.
Duran displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hudson.

Hudson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Duran as he jumps to the side.

and Hudson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Mike Duran is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Saul Hudson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Duran works his foot free and advances to mount.

Duran looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hudson can't escape the position.
Saul Hudson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Duran jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hudson manages to avoid the submission attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Saul Hudson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Duran has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
