Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nyyrikki Kaiho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silver Surfer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Silver Surfer was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nyyrikki Kaiho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaiho stalks Surfer and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Surfer's face. Surfer staggers backwards, shaken.
Surfer misses with an uppercut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Surfer. Kaiho does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kaiho bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A solid leg kick lands there for Kaiho.
Kaiho throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Surfer counters with a nice uppercut.

Surfer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kaiho's waist but Kaiho gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Surfer off to one side.

Surfer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Surfer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Surfer throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kaiho because Surfer loaded up on that one.
Surfer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Surfer is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kaiho can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Surfer wants to free his trapped foot but Kaiho is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Surfer uses his free foot to push down on Kaiho's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kaiho.

Surfer lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Surfer lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kaiho hang on?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kaiho is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kaiho connects with a leg kick. Surfer looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Surfer shoots in looking for a takedown but Kaiho manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Surfer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Kaiho scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Surfer doesn't seem bothered though.
Kaiho lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Surfer circles away quickly and effectively.

Surfer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kaiho napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Surfer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Surfer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kaiho is looking for a sweep.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Surfer is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kaiho knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Kaiho is trying to control Surfer's posture but Surfer avoids it.

Kaiho is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Surfer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Surfer's back!

You can see the frustration on Surfer's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
