The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malik swings for the body but Hawke moves out of range.
Malik swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Malik scores with a shot to the body.
Hawke fails with a takedown attempt.
Malik throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Hawke shoots in but no luck this time.
Malik fails to land with a series of punches.

Malik lands a left and a right that send Hawke crashing to the mat, dazed. Malik thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like John Hawke has been cut.
Hawke looks gassed!

Malik looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hawke fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Malik avoids it really well and circles away.
Mohammad Malik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Hawke.
Malik lands with a straight right. Hawke didn't see that one coming.
Mohammad Malik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooh!!! Malik has knocked Hawke down with a huge combo! Malik steps away and waves a wobbly Hawke back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
