The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stojkowski slaps away a takedown attempt from Akinfeev, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Stojkowski cracks a nice hook into Akinfeev's ribs.
Stojkowski misses with a wild body shot.

It looks like Roman Akinfeev has been cut.
Nice uppercut lands for Stojkowski. That snapped Akinfeev's head back.

Akinfeev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stojkowski swivels and escapes.
Stojkowski throws an off balance right hand
and Akinfeev counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Stojkowski throws a right and a left that Akinfeev avoids nicely.
Stojkowski lands a nice hook to Akinfeev's body. Akinfeev takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Jan Stojkowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stojkowski thuds a left hand into Akinfeev's body.
Akinfeev looks gassed!
Stojkowski connects with a body shot that sends Akinfeev's belly button to the back.

Stojkowski fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Akinfeev looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Stojkowski ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Stojkowski lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Stojkowski.
That has opened up Roman Akinfeev's cut even more.
Akinfeev moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A punch combination from Stojkowski misses.
Stojkowski connects with a single shot there.
Akinfeev is rocked!
The cut above Roman Akinfeev's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Stojkowski throws a shot to the body.
Stojkowski fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Stojkowski lands a nice hook to Akinfeev's body. Akinfeev takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Stojkowski counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Akinfeev! He's just covering up as Stojkowski starts to tee off till referee steps in and stops the fight!
