Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bill Annunaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Rappenecker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Annunaki's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Tool - Aenima. The crowd seem to be enjoying Rappenecker's choice of entrance music: Burial - Untrue. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bill Annunaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tom Rappenecker!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Annunaki misses with a kick to the body.
Annunaki throws a shot from downtown. Rappenecker moves away and avoids it.
Annunaki tries a head kick but it misses.
Annunaki looks to land a combination but Rappenecker avoids it well.
Annunaki pivots, looking for a leg kick but Rappenecker is out of range and Annunaki settles back down.
Rappenecker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Annunaki throws a sloppy head kick and Rappenecker moves out of range easily.
Bill Annunaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rappenecker moves out of range as Annunaki throws a body kick.
Rappenecker takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Annunaki throws an overhand right that lands on Rappenecker's shoulder, as Rappenecker tries to avoid the shot.
Annunaki misses with a series of wild punches.
Rappenecker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Annunaki moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Annunaki throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Annunaki blocks a low kick nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Annunaki goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Annunaki throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Annunaki tries to keep at a distance but Rappenecker has taken the fight into the clinch.
Annunaki using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Rappenecker has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Annunaki just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rappenecker's brow.

Rappenecker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rappenecker staying out of range there.

Rappenecker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Annunaki pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Rappenecker gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Annunaki wants to stall.
Rappenecker tries to pull guard but Annunaki holds him up against the cage and eventually Rappenecker drops back down to his feet.

Rappenecker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Annunaki tries to clinch but Rappenecker moves away
and Rappenecker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Annunaki misses with a lunging right hand

and Rappenecker holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Annunaki is trying to break free.
Annunaki tries to land knees in the clinch but Rappenecker avoids the damage to the body.
Annunaki tries a knee to the head but Rappenecker blocks it.
Annunaki is breathing heavily.
Rappenecker avoiding damage as Annunaki throws knees to the body.
Rappenecker prevents Annunaki from breaking the clinch.

Rappenecker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Rappenecker counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Annunaki is working an open guard so Rappenecker takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Rappenecker scores with a kick to the midsection.
Rappenecker misses with an attempted mid kick.
Rappenecker scoring well with a low kick there.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Annunaki misses with an uppercut. Rappenecker saw that one coming.
Rappenecker throws a head kick that Annunaki semi-blocks.
Annunaki tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Rappenecker counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Well, if Rappenecker is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Annunaki is trying to stand back up but Rappenecker is controlling him
Rappenecker tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Rappenecker is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Annunaki reverses the position - he's now on top in Rappenecker's guard.

Annunaki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rappenecker swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Annunaki looking to sit in guard and control but Rappenecker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Rappenecker stands up from Annunaki's guard - Rappenecker perhaps looking for a knockout.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Annunaki looks to clinch
and Rappenecker counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Annunaki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rappenecker tries to clinch but Annunaki is having none of it.
Bill Annunaki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Annunaki pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Annunaki tries to clinch up
and Rappenecker counters with a nice low kick that buckles Annunaki's knee momentarily.
Nice takedown defense from Annunaki. No joy for Rappenecker on that attempt.
Annunaki throws a poor cross that misses

and Rappenecker moves into the clinch.

Annunaki manages to break the clinch.
Rappenecker walks into a straight right hand from Annunaki.

Rappenecker is looking to break free of the clinch but Annunaki has double underhooks.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Annunaki keeps control of Rappenecker as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Rappenecker manages to break the clinch.
Annunaki misses with a double jab
and Rappenecker counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Annunaki throws a lazy uppercut
and Rappenecker counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Annunaki throws a poor cross that misses
and Rappenecker counters with a solid body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tom Rappenecker dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Annunaki looks to clinch

and Rappenecker counters with a single leg into guard. Annunaki didn't expect that.
Annunaki controls Rappenecker momentarily but Rappenecker frees himself.
Rappenecker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Annunaki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Annunaki is looking to stand up but Rappenecker isn't so interested in that idea.

Annunaki has an active guard here but Rappenecker has managed to pass into half guard.
Rappenecker is taking a breather. Annunaki says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rappenecker stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Annunaki to get to his feet.

Annunaki misses with a head kick.

Rappenecker clinches.
Rappenecker wants to get back to striking at distance but Annunaki won't allow it.
Annunaki tries to land knees in the clinch but Rappenecker avoids the damage to the body.
Annunaki lands a nice elbow.
Annunaki tries to stall but Rappenecker uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Rappenecker tries to break the clinch but Annunaki is controlling the position.
Rappenecker has had enough of the clinch but Annunaki keeps him there for the moment.

Annunaki closes the distance and clinches.
Annunaki lands an elbow inside.
Annunaki tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Rappenecker is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Rappenecker wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Rappenecker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Left hook, right uppercut from Annunaki.
Annunaki checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rappenecker.

Rappenecker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Annunaki is working to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Rappenecker gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Rappenecker fails to land with a series of punches.
Annunaki misses with a body kick.
Annunaki takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Annunaki tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Rappenecker counters with a leg kick.
Rappenecker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Annunaki goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Rappenecker lands a head shot.
Rappenecker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Annunaki misses with a left hand

and Rappenecker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Annunaki's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Annunaki seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Annunaki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Annunaki! Rappenecker is out on his feet! Annunaki rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Rappenecker is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Rappenecker is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
