Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mike Belanger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Major Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holt has chosen Country Boys Can Survive by Hank Williams Jr as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Major Holt enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Belanger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Major Holt!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belanger scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Holt doesn't seem bothered though.
Belanger throws a series of punches but Holt moves out of range.
Belanger throws a right hand that Holt ducks under and follows up with a left that Holt also avoids with ease.
Belanger throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Belanger really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Holt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holt sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Belanger is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Belanger takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Holt throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Belanger parries the strikes from Holt easily there. Holt is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Belanger to escape.
Holt tries to score with some ground and pound. Belanger controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Holt is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Belanger knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Holt is trying to ground and pound but Belanger uses the momentary lack of control by Holt to regain half guard.
Belanger avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Holt.
Holt is working for a kimura but Belanger is defending it quite comfortably.

Holt tries to pass the half guard into mount. Belanger knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Belanger is refusing to be controlled, as Holt sits in half guard.
Holt missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Holt throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Holt throwing shots but Belanger is blocking nicely.

Holt lands a nice shot to the head.
Belanger avoids a series of strikes thrown by Holt.
Holt working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Belanger turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Holt off and cradles Belanger's limp body as Holt celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Major Holt!
