Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Henry Goldberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Joseph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Henry Goldberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Joseph!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Chad Campbell and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goldberg gets the takedown into side control.
Goldberg controls the position.
Goldberg wants to control but Joseph is keeping him busy.
Goldberg is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Henry Goldberg just wasn't active enough.

Joseph decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Joseph throwing shots but Goldberg is blocking nicely.
Goldberg has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Joseph is working away from the top position though.

Joseph looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Goldberg is concentrating on defense, preventing Joseph from advancing position.

Joseph is working for a kimura but Goldberg is defending it quite comfortably.
Goldberg tries to get to full guard but Joseph has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goldberg is staying active underneath Joseph, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Henry Goldberg will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Goldberg shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Joseph's guard.

Goldberg seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Joseph shoots in and bounces Goldberg off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Joseph is working Goldberg over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

We're going to have a standup here because Henry Goldberg wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Joseph drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

I would just about give that final round to Joe Joseph.
Well Goldberg has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
