Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, David Meadows!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nasri displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Meadows.
Meadows shoots and misses
and Nasri counters with a one-two to the body.
Meadows fails with the takedown
enabling Nasri to counter with a crisp jab.
Samir Nasri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Meadows.
Nasri connects with a solid leg kick.
Meadows tries for a takedown but Nasri sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nasri fails to land with a series of punches.
Nasri lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Meadows shoots and misses
and Nasri counters with a one-two to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nasri closes the distance and lands a one-two.
No luck for Meadows with that takedown attempt.
Nasri throws a right hand that Meadows ducks under and follows up with a left that Meadows also avoids with ease.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Meadows shoots in for a double leg but Nasri sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nasri misses with a low kick.
Nasri misses with a series of wild punches.
Meadows tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nasri sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Meadows somewhat.

Nasri looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Meadows misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Nasri smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Meadows is trying desperately to land a takedown but Nasri is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Meadows.
Nasri fails to land with a series of punches.
Meadows shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Nasri counters with a shoot takedown. Meadows fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Nasri got a little sloppy there for a moment and Meadows has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nasri has managed to get both his arms back between Meadows's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nasri avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Meadows trying to control the position.

Nasri controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Nasri works over Meadows with some ground and pound from guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Meadows is on top in guard.
Nasri is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Nasri pulls Meadows in close to prevent any damage.

Meadows drops back looking for a leg! Nasri is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nasri manages to kick Meadows off! Meadows jumps back into Nasri's guard.
Meadows forces his way into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Meadows is working for a kimura but Nasri is defending it quite comfortably.

Meadows has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Nasri defend it? Meadows steps over the head and cranks it - Nasri is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Meadows!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). David Meadows!
