Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tong Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Paulson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Le comes to the cage accompanied by Sweep the Leg. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tong Le!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Paul Paulson!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Le lands a jab to the head.
Paulson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Paulson throws a jab when Le was well out of range.
Paulson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Tong Le has been cut.
Paulson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Le misses the shot to the body.
Paulson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Le.
Paulson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A decent looking cross lands there for Le.
Le really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Paulson throws a lazy right hand but Le sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Paulson misses with a series of wild punches.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Le, as that shot connected.
Le takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Paulson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Paulson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Paulson connects with a body shot that sends Le's belly button to the back.
Le pivots, looking for a leg kick but Paulson is out of range and Le settles back down.
Paulson thuds a left hand into Le's body.
Paulson fails to land with a series of punches.
Tong Le is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Paulson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Paulson throws a series of punches but Le moves out of range.
Le looks to score with a jab to the body but Paulson is just out of range.
Paulson looks to throw a body kick
and Le counters with an outside leg kick.
Paulson misses with a series of wild punches.
Paulson misses with an uppercut
and Le counters with a good low kick that Paulson was not able to check.
Paulson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Paulson there as he acknowledges the shot.
Paul Paulson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Le misses with a wild body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Paulson throws a head kick that misses.
Paulson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Paulson scores with a head kick.
Paulson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Paulson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Paulson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Le scoring well with a low kick there.
Le uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Paulson.
Le throws out a loose jab but Paulson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Paulson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Paulson throws a right and a left that Le avoids nicely.
Le loads up on a big right hand but Paulson slips the punch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Paulson throws an overhand right that lands on Le's shoulder, as Le tries to avoid the shot.
Paulson throws a head kick that misses.
Le lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Paulson throws a shot from downtown. Le moves away and avoids it.
Le throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Paulson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Paulson blocks a jab.
Paulson misses with a wild body shot.
Paulson throws a sloppy head kick
and Le counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Paulson looks gassed!
A nice inside leg kick there by Le. That's going to slow Paulson down.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Paulson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Le to score with a decent uppercut.
Paulson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Le is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Le thumps Paulson with a low kick.
Paulson misses the shot to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Le looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A slow jab from Paulson misses its intended target.
Paulson throws a head kick that misses
and Le counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Paulson misses with a looping left.
Paulson staying out of range there.
Paulson lands with an uppercut that bounces Le off the cage and back into rage.
Paulson misses with an uppercut.
Paulson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Nice body punch from Le.
Paulson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Le. Le obviously looking to wear him down.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Le swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Paulson.
Le lands a jab to the head.

Le cracks Paulson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Le has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Paulson to stand back up!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tong Le dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tong Le's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Paulson looks up at the clock. Bad move! Le lands a right hand from hell, dropping Paulson. Le pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tong Le!
