Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Serge Bibeau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Firuz Shahzad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shahzad has chosen Fuel My Fire (The Prodigy) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shahzad goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A bone on bone clash there as Bibeau blocks the leg kick.
Shahzad walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bibeau checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Bibeau chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shahzad can pounce on him.
Bibeau looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Bibeau thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Shahzad wants to stand and escape but Bibeau is having none of it.
Bibeau tries to free his leg and advance position but Shahzad is retaining full guard.
Shahzad is looking for a triangle but Bibeau pushes his legs off easily.
Bibeau is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Bibeau stops Shahzad from standing up.
Bibeau is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Shahzad is looking to stand up but Bibeau isn't so interested in that idea.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Shahzad throws and low kick but Bibeau moves out of range easily.
Bibeau scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Shahzad is pushing Bibeau's head away, looking to escape. Bibeau manages to hold on to the position though.
Bibeau is breathing heavily.

Shahzad bucks up and tries to throw Bibeau off but instead Bibeau has got his back!
Shahzad has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Bibeau is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Shahzad taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Bibeau.
