The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reaper displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Horrible takedown by Cruz or perhaps it was just good defense by Reaper which made him look bad.

Cruz gets a double leg takedown into Reaper's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Reaper is trying to control the position but Cruz postures up.

Reaper has his feet on Cruz's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Reaper shoots in but no luck this time.
Reaper fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cruz avoids it really well and circles away.
Reaper really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diego Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cruz shoots in for a double leg but Reaper sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Billy Bob Reaper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Cruz.
Cruz lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Cruz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reaper swivels and escapes.
Cruz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Reaper moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Cruz looks gassed!

Reaper closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cruz's guard.

Reaper wants to control from the top but Cruz keeps moving.
Cruz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Reaper wants to pass the guard but Cruz is keeping the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Cruz wants to stand up but Reaper is controlling him.

Reaper stands and steps away. Cruz gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Reaper won't let Cruz get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Reaper lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
