The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
James checks a low kick from Mankins.
James misses with a low kick.
Mankins scores with a head kick.

It looks like John James has been cut.
Mankins throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
James fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mankins connects with a solid leg kick.
James throws a body punch but Mankins moves out of range.
A solid leg kick lands there for Mankins.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A head kick from Mankins lands but James takes it in his stride.
Mankins misses with a head kick.
James changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mankins tries to avoid it but James manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mankins to the ground. Mankins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mankins lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
James is breathing heavily.
A looping hook to the body misses from James. Mankins does a little dance to reset his feet.

James throws a predictable looking body shot
and Mankins counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Mankins tries a head kick but it misses.
Mankins fakes the leg kick and cracks James in the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
James tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Mankins feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to James's calf.
Mankins throws a front kick that sends James stumbling back into the cage.
Mankins throws a head kick that half lands.
An inside leg kick lands from Mankins.
Mankins scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Mankins explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Mankins! James is out on his feet! Mankins rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - James is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! James is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
