PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lockyz Lock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Gotch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Gotch told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Russell Pearce and Anthony Taglia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gotch shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lock defends it nicely.
Lock changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gotch tries to avoid it but Lock manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gotch to the ground. Gotch escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lock could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Gotch tries for a takedown but Lock sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Frank Gotch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gotch shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gotch showed some decent athleticism there.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gotch connects with a nice short shot to Lock's temple.

Gotch slips a nice elbow through Lock's hands, connecting with Lock's forehead.
Oh Lock is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gotch lands a big elbow - Lock is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Gotch!
