PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between bryce ahr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Judoka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Judoka has chosen let the bodies hit the floor as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, bryce ahr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Judoka!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ahr tries to clinch up but Judoka circles away and keeps his distance.

ahr looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Judoka wants to control but ahr is keeping busy.
ahr moves into full mount! Judoka won't be happy about that!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

ahr swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Judoka is now in ahr's guard. A big mistake from ahr there, giving up the dominant position!

ahr is trying to control the position from the bottom.

ahr is working an open guard so Judoka takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Judoka shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Judoka loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Judoka working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Judoka thows a big elbow that misses.
ahr keeping moving, preventing Judoka from controlling successfully.
ahr trying to control the position.
ahr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
ahr is breathing heavily.
Judoka trying to control the position from guard on top but ahr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Judoka decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Judoka dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on ahr. That did some damage!

ahr gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Judoka is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Judoka stands up and waves to ahr to follow him.

Judoka forces ahr back against the cage and clinches.
Judoka gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from ahr.

Judoka jumps guard and drags ahr to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
ahr throws and elbow that misses. Judoka uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in ahr's guard. Nice move by Judoka!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Judoka trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

ahr is looking for a triangle but Judoka pushes his legs off easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now ahr is on top in guard.

ahr drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Judoka manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now ahr has Judoka in his guard.

Judoka is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but ahr has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Judoka is looking to defend but ahr has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Judoka! ahr pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Judoka taps out and this one is all over!
