The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers misses with a takedown attempt - Rivaldo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A swing and a miss from Powers.
Rivaldo jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Rivaldo misses the shot to the body.
Powers shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rivaldo sprawls well. Rivaldo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Powers gets slowly back to his feet.
Powers fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Powers. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rivaldo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Powers under the eye.

It looks like Frank Powers has been cut.
Powers tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rivaldo was well out of range. Poor timing from Powers.
Powers has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rivaldo finds it's way round the side to connect with Powers's head.
Rivaldo connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Powers throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rivaldo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Talon Rivaldo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A right-left combo lands from Rivaldo.
Donk. Powers catches Rivaldo right on the button with a cross.
Rivaldo misses with a series of wild punches.
Rivaldo connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Rivaldo throws a series of punches but Powers moves out of range.
No luck for Powers with that takedown attempt.
Rivaldo swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Powers.
Rivaldo throws a shot to the body.
Rivaldo lands a jab-cross combination.

Powers is rocked!
Powers has a takedown stuffed.
Oh Powers is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Rivaldo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Powers.

Powers seems to have got his legs back now.
Nice uppercut lands for Rivaldo. That snapped Powers's head back.

Rivaldo lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Powers can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Rivaldo and Powers drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Rivaldo.
