The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Robbin counters with a takedown into side control.
Sanchez tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sanchez manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Robbin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Robbin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sanchez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sanchez's back!

You can see the frustration on Sanchez's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Robbin doesn't have the hooks in and Sanchez manages to turn into his guard.

Sanchez is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Robbin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Robbin has escaped and now he's on top!

Robbin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sanchez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Robbin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Robbin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Robbin wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving.
Robbin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sanchez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Robbin is aware though and is defending well.

Robbin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Robbin is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Sanchez is hurt! He's hurt bad - Robbin fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Sanchez from any more punishment! Congratulations to Robbin! Great finish!
