Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paul Kositzky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kositzky comes to the cage accompanied by Schwarz zu Blau. Ellis is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dude looks like a lady!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Kositzky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chris Ellis!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kositzky fails with the takedown.
Kositzky takes one to the chin there.
Kositzky tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kositzky sizes up Ellis with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Kositzky shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ellis as he jumps to the side.
Kositzky moves in looking to clinch but Ellis pushes him off.

Kositzky shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kositzky showed some decent athleticism there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Still in half guard, Kositzky seems content to control.

We're going to have a standup here because Paul Kositzky wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Ellis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kositzky pushes Ellis off looking to stand but Ellis dives back in and keeps control.

Ellis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ellis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kositzky defends it well.
Kositzky is trying to stand back up but Ellis is controlling him
Kositzky slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kositzky is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ellis is controlling him.

Ellis is trying to drag Kositzky to the mat but Kositzky just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Paul Kositzky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Ellis.
Ellis has Kositzky pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kositzky manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Kositzky manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ellis on his heels. He'll look to pass Ellis's guard now, I'm sure.
Kositzky slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Paul Kositzky has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Ellis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kositzky.
Ellis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kositzky defending well as Ellis loads up on a big left hand.
Ellis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kositzky moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kositzky uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ellis.

Kositzky closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ellis quickly recovers to half guard.

Ellis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kositzky is working away from the top position though.
Kositzky will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ellis misses with a strike from the bottom.
Ellis is trying to control Kositzky's posture but Kositzky avoids it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kositzky tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
