Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erik Desmond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leifi Polomeros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leifi Polomeros is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polomeros decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Desmond controlling the position well.
Desmond moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Desmond has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Polomeros can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Desmond is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Desmond working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Polomeros doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Polomeros manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Polomeros thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Desmond escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Polomeros gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Desmond had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Polomeros defends it easily.
Polomeros really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Desmond. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Polomeros stands up over Desmond, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Desmond is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Desmond pulls Polomeros in close to prevent any damage.

Polomeros got a little sloppy there for a moment and Desmond has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Polomeros has managed to get both his arms back between Desmond's legs - danger averted.
Desmond has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Polomeros should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Desmond has tightened it up now! Polomeros should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
