Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Georgeborough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Thomas Georgeborough has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thomas Georgeborough!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vincent Chase!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Georgeborough closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Chase to the mat! Chase manages to get full guard.
Georgeborough postures up in Chase's guard and throws a big left but Chase blocks it.
Chase is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Chase seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Georgeborough does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Georgeborough is looking to improve his position.
Georgeborough has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Chase is keen to just control but Georgeborough is a slippery customer.

Georgeborough tries to roll over but Chase keeps him under control.
Georgeborough is staying active underneath Chase, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Georgeborough gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Chase wants to control from the top but Georgeborough keeps moving.

Georgeborough had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Chase is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Georgeborough Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Chase's back instead.
Georgeborough thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Georgeborough is trying to stick to Chase's back but Chase is turning into Georgeborough. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Georgeborough's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Chase.
Georgeborough is breathing heavily.

Chase drops back, looking for a kneebar! Georgeborough looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Georgeborough looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Georgeborough!
Chase gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Georgeborough wants to stand up but Chase has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Chase is trying to control but can't.

Chase is positioning himself well to prevent Georgeborough advancing to mount.
Chase is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Chase wants to control but Georgeborough is keeping busy.
The fighters are battling for position here. Chase manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Chase bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Georgeborough's guard.
Chase tries to free his leg and advance position but Georgeborough is retaining full guard.

Georgeborough working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chase doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chase manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Chase must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Georgeborough slips a nice elbow through Chase's hands, connecting with Chase's forehead.
Georgeborough uses his free foot to push down on Chase's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Chase.

Chase is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chase really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Chase is still in real trouble! Can Georgeborough finish him?
Chase is in a horrible position here. Georgeborough smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Georgeborough wants to finish this one by submission but Chase is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Georgeborough.
Chase should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Chase has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Georgeborough is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Chase knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Chase for a finish.

You can see the frustration on Chase's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Georgeborough wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Chase, who protects the arm well.
Chase can't do much from the bottom here.

Georgeborough is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Chase has escaped the position, nice work there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Georgeborough tries to move into full mount but can't pass Chase's legs.
Chase tries to bench press Georgeborough off him but Georgeborough keeps the position.

Georgeborough decides to stand back up. Georgeborough steps back and let's Chase get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Georgeborough bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Chase wants to control but Georgeborough postures up.
Georgeborough working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Chase regains half guard.
Georgeborough thows a huge punch but Chase dodges it nicely.
It looks like Georgeborough is going to stand back up.
Georgeborough works his way into side control.

Georgeborough has an Americana. Chase didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Georgeborough is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Georgeborough hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
