The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deuces slips a jab and a cross from Shickawa.
Shickawa misses with a wild combination.

Shickawa tries to keep at a distance but Deuces has taken the fight into the clinch.
Deuces drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shickawa pulls his leg out and moves away.
Shickawa scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Supra Deuces has been cut.
Shickawa misses with a double jab.
No joy there for Shickawa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Deuces shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shickawa defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Deuces.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Supra Deuces. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Deuces dodges the punch combination from Shickawa.

Deuces darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shickawa tries to kick Deuces off but Deuces keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Deuces passes to side control.
Shickawa tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Shickawa is trying to get back to his feet but Deuces has full control of the position and if anything, Shickawa has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Shickawa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Deuces. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Deuces seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Shickawa for as long as he can get away with.

Deuces is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Shickawa won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Deuces off his unconscious opponent!
