PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taite Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marko Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gordon comes to the cage accompanied by Whistlin' Dixie. Gracie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Green. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon misses with a head kick.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Gordon tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gordon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gracie lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gordon backs up against the cage.
Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gordon is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Gordon circles away and we're back to standing.
Gracie takes one on the button.
Gracie feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gordons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Gracie feints and as Gordon raises his hands in defense, Gracie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gordon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Gordon wants to sweep but no luck.

Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gordon is trying to stand up here but Gracie is controlling him well.

Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gordon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gracie thows a huge punch but Gordon dodges it nicely.
Gordon is trying to maintain the position but Gracie is very close to passing his half guard.
Gordon is not content to let Gracie control the position.
Gracie looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gordon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Gordon is trying to maintain the position but Gracie is very close to passing his half guard.
Gordon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Gracie seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Gracie seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Gordon is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
