Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Ferdinand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dakota Wolfe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wolfe has chosen Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi as his entrance music. Dakota Wolfe is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Ferdinand!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dakota Wolfe!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Wolfe lands.


It looks like Bob Ferdinand has been cut.
Wolfe scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ferdinand in his tracks.
Ferdinand gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wolfe counters with a nice uppercut.
Ferdinand takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Wolfe slaps away a takedown attempt from Ferdinand, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ferdinand gets caught flat footed, as Wolfe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Wolfe trying to control the position from guard on top but Ferdinand is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wolfe stopping the sweep attempt from Ferdinand.
Wolfe slips nicely into half guard.

Wolfe is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Wolfe tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ferdinand knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Ferdinand has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wolfe is working away from the top position though.
Wolfe prevents Ferdinand from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wolfe is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ferdinand has managed to free his arm - good work.
Wolfe looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ferdinand wants to control but Wolfe is keeping busy.

Wolfe seems to be looking for submissions.
Ferdinand is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wolfe's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wolfe's back!
Wolfe tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Ferdinand looking for a guillotine from mount but Wolfe is having none of it.

Ferdinand goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Wolfe turns into him and now he's in Ferdinand's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wolfe wants to pass the guard but Ferdinand is keeping the position.
Wolfe wants to control from the top but Ferdinand keeps moving.

Ferdinand looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ferdinand looking to control.

Ferdinand looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Wolfe has picked Ferdinand up and slammed him! Ferdinand can't keep hold of the triangle and Wolfe manages to pass to side control!
Ferdinand is trying to improve his position.
Ferdinand is breathing heavily.

Wolfe working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Ferdinand tries to buck Wolfe off but Wolfe is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Wolfe stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Ferdinand shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wolfe sprawls well. Wolfe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ferdinand gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Ferdinand. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wolfe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ferdinand tries to improve position but can't.

Wolfe is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Ferdinand looks calm but he's in trouble here. Wolfe gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Ferdinand is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Wolfe lets go of the hold and Ferdinand can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dakota Wolfe!
