Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Windham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andreas Webster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aaron Windham!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Windham tries to score a power double leg takedown but Webster sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Windham somewhat.
Windham shoots in but no luck this time.
Webster tries for a takedown but Windham sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Webster keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Andreas Webster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Windham.

Windham looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Webster is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Windham's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Windham's back!

Windham just trying to survive but Webster is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Windham breaks Webster's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Webster wants to sweep here but Windham controlling him for the moment.

Let's hope that Windham has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Aaron Windham hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Windham throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Windham shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Webster manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Webster manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Windham manages to get himself to full guard.

Windham wants to sweep here but Webster controlling him for the moment.

Webster has gone for a leg lock! Windham slips out almost immediately though and dives into Webster's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Webster keeping moving, preventing Windham from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Aaron Windham was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Webster avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Horrible takedown by Webster or perhaps it was just good defense by Windham which made him look bad.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Windham throws a poor cross that misses

and Webster decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Windham's guard.
Webster stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Windham swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Windham is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Windham throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Windham wants to work for an arm triangle but Webster is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Webster tries to roll over but Windham keeps him under control.
Windham is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Windham frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Windham is landing with some decent strikes but Webster is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Windham is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Webster can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Webster is bucking up trying to escape but Windham cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The referee warns Webster that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aaron Windham showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Windham fails to land the takedown.
Windham leaves Webster with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Windham shoots in for a takedown but Webster shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Windham throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Webster's waist but Webster gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Windham off to one side.

Windham stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Webster swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Webster has momentary wrist control but Windham slips an elbow through the middle.

Webster escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Windham gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Windham wants to control from the top but Webster keeps moving.

Windham slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Windham shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Webster as he jumps to the side.
Windham has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Windham throws a right hand that Webster ducks under and follows up with a left that Webster also avoids with ease.
Windham throws out a leg kick but Webster moves out of range and Windham only half commits.

Aaron Windham is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Aaron Windham comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Windham has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
