Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mor Onfollow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mauri Alavaara!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alavaara throws a head kick but Onfollow moves out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Onfollow is defended easily by Alavaara.
Alavaara misses the shot to the body.
Onfollow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Alavaara stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Alavaara wants it to stay on the feet.
Onfollow throws a hook but Alavaara avoids it easily.
Onfollow closes the distance and clinches up with Alavaara, looking for a takedown. Onfollow pushes Alavaara against the cage but Alavaara circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Onfollow shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Alavaara but Alavaara pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Alavaara throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

No joy there for Alavaara, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Alavaara lunges at Onfollow with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Onfollow's hand.

Alavaara keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Alavaara fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Onfollow manages to avoid it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Onfollow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alavaara as he jumps to the side.

Alavaara tries to clinch up but Onfollow circles away and keeps his distance.
Mauri Alavaara is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Alavaara throws a right and a left that Onfollow avoids nicely.
Onfollow takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Onfollow will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Alavaara, right into the meat.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Onfollow. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Alavaara connects with an inside leg kick.
Onfollow tries to score a power double leg takedown but Alavaara sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Onfollow somewhat.
Alavaara fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Onfollow.
Alavaara connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Onfollow shoots in for a takedown but Alavaara shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Onfollow is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Alavaara gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Oh Onfollow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Clinched against the cage, Alavaara lands a big elbow that drops Onfollow! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Onfollow is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
