Williams comes into the arena with Living Colour - Cult Of Personality blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Powers lands a right hook to the body.
Austin Powers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Williams throws a nice outside leg kick.
Powers tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Williams was well out of range. Poor timing from Powers.

Williams throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A bone on bone clash there as Powers blocks the leg kick.

Powers shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Williams eats them both and turns towards Powers to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Remo Williams has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Williams tries to land a front kick but Powers steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
The crowd cheers as Powers lands an impressive looking overhand right. Williams doesn't seem phased though.
Powers swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Powers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Powers jabs Williams to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Powers throws the left hand but Williams avoids the punch easily.
Williams doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Powers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Williams moves away.

Powers fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Williams on the side of the head.

and Williams counters with a thumping low kick.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Powers looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Williams throws a looping overhand right but Powers ducks down to avoid it.

Powers throws an overhand right that lands on Williams's shoulder, as Williams tries to avoid the shot.
Powers lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Williams throws a head kick that misses.
Powers misses with a series of wild punches.
Powers moves in looking to clinch but Williams pushes him off.

Powers closes the distance and clinches.
Powers is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Williams is keeping busy.

Powers throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Powers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Williams counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Powers tries to bum rush Williams with a series of wild strikes but Williams uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Powers has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Remo Williams's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Powers fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Williams looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Williams pivots, looking for a leg kick but Powers is out of range and Williams settles back down.
Powers is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Williams rather than just go for the knockout.

Powers's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

A big left from Powers misses.

Powers lands a left and a right that send Williams crashing to the mat, dazed. Powers thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Remo Williams's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
