Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lasse Lukottaja!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Sam Takiki Jr!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takiki Jr throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
A big left from Takiki Jr misses.
Lukottaja misses with a jab, cross combination.
Good leg kick by Takiki Jr there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Lukottaja shoots in for a takedown but Takiki Jr shows good takedown defense.
Takiki Jr throws a nice outside leg kick.
Lukottaja takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Lukottaja is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lukottaja tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Takiki Jr keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Takiki Jr lands a head kick!
Takiki Jr throws a leg kick which misses Lukottaja's front leg but catches the back leg as Lukottaja tries to avoid it.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Takiki Jr.
Takiki Jr cracks Lukottaja with a good jab.
Takiki Jr lands with a nice body kick.
Takiki Jr dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lukottaja. That did some damage!
That kick from Takiki Jr tenderised Lukottaja's leg. Lukottaja is trying to keep his angry face on.
Lukottaja takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Takiki Jr lands a big head kick that sends Lukottaja tumbling to the mat! Takiki Jr takes a step backwards and waves Lukottaja back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Lukottaja is rocked!
It looks like Lasse Lukottaja has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Takiki Jr fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lukottaja has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Oh Lukottaja is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Takiki Jr drops Lukottaja with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Lukottaja! Takiki Jr dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Takiki Jr!
