The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Beckenbauer or perhaps it was just good defense by Arben which made him look bad.
Beckenbauer misses with a takedown
enabling Arben to counter with a crisp jab.
Arben displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Beckenbauer.
Rozafa Arben has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Franz Beckenbauer.
Beckenbauer closes the distance and clinches up with Arben, looking for a takedown. Beckenbauer pushes Arben against the cage but Arben circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Arben throws a series of punches but Beckenbauer avoids them all with ease.
Arben throws a jab when Beckenbauer was well out of range.
Good leg kick by Arben there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Arben cracks Beckenbauer with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Arben feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Beckenbauer's calf.
Arben slaps away a takedown attempt from Beckenbauer, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Arben throws a big shot that misses.
Beckenbauer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Arben as he avoids it easily.
Beckenbauer moves to clinch but Arben breaks away
and Arben cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Beckenbauer with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Arben to score with a decent uppercut.
Beckenbauer has a takedown stuffed.

A bone on bone clash there as Beckenbauer blocks the leg kick.
Arben takes a swing at Beckenbauer's ribcage but misses.
Arben scores with a jab. Beckenbauer acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Arben throws a head kick but Beckenbauer moves out of range.
Beckenbauer is trying desperately to land a takedown but Arben is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Beckenbauer.
