Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mean Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alberik Gunther (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunther tries for a takedown but Machine circles away easily
and Machine counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Gunther has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Machine avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Machine breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gunther shoots and misses
and Machine counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Mean Machine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alberik Gunther.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Machine is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gunther is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Machine might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Gunther thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Gunther pushes a forearm under Machine's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Machine is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
