PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Delson Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haku Men (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ribeiro comes to the cage accompanied by Racionais MC's - Expresso da Meia-Noite. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Delson Ribeiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Haku Men!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ribeiro closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Men quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Men is trying to maintain the position but Ribeiro is very close to passing his half guard.
Ribeiro not doing much here.
Ribeiro has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Ribeiro throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Men was covering up waiting for the punch and Ribeiro finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Delson Ribeiro.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ribeiro, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
