Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Top Team (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gunn has chosen England belongs to me as his entrance music. Top Team could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ray Gunn's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Top Team!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Ray Gunn!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Team throws a sloppy head kick and Gunn moves out of range easily.
Team is looking to clinch.
Gunn tries a head kick but it misses.
Gunn circles away from the clinch attempt
and Gunn counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Gunn looks for the body kick but Team saw that one coming.
Team throws a right hand that misses
and Gunn counters with a leg kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for Gunn.
Gunn catches Team with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Gunn misses with an attempted mid kick.

and Gunn counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Team!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Team bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gunn.

Gunn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Team counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Gunn shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Team napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Gunn tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

This has been an exciting period of action!
It looks like Gunn might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Team is looking for a sweep.
Team takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gunn in side control, throwing shots but Team defends.

and Gunn counters with a good low kick that Team was not able to check.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Good leg kick by Gunn there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Gunn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Team tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gunn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Gunn. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Gunn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Team is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Ray Gunn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Gunn makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Team really felt that one!

Team can't do much from the bottom here.
Gunn throwing strikes but Team manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Team wants to stand but Gunn has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.

enabling Gunn to counter with a crisp jab.

Gunn will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Team is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Well Gunn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
