Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aoki Sudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alessio Bernardi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sudo comes into the arena with Armour Of God Thème blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bernardi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sudo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bernardi's waist but Bernardi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sudo off to one side.

Bernardi tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Sudo is able to avoid easily.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Sudo. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

and Sudo counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sudo.
Sudo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bernardi pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Sudo jumps guard but Bernardi stands there with Sudo around his waist. Sudo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

With the fighters up against the cage, Sudo throws an elbow but misses.

Sudo drags the fight down to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Sudo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bernardi defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sudo pushes a forearm under Bernardi's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Bernardi is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
