Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raul Hughes!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes throws a looping overhand right but Stone ducks down to avoid it.
Hughes misses with a body shot.
Hughes takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Hughes throws a hook to the side of Stone's head but Stone sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Stone swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Stone thumps Hughes with a low kick.
Stone keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hughes.
Hughes keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Stone feints and then cracks Hughes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hughes down.
Stone looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Stone, right into the meat.

Stone is looking to slow Hughes down with leg kicks.
A solid leg kick lands there for Stone.
That kick from Stone tenderised Hughes's leg. Hughes is trying to keep his angry face on.
Raul Hughes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Stone feints and then cracks Hughes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hughes down.

Stone wants to slow Hughes down by chopping away at his legs.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hughes checks a leg kick.

Hughes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hughes takes a swing at Stone's ribcage but misses.
Stone lands a leg kick that knocks Hughes off balance momentarily.
Stone shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Stone scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hughes is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stone pulls his head out easily.
Stone thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Stone lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Stone is trying to control the action in half guard but Hughes is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Stone is working for a kimura but Hughes is defending it quite comfortably.

Stone looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Hughes on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stone wants to control but Hughes is keeping him busy.
Stone is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hughes is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Stone wants to work for an arm triangle but Hughes is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Stone scores with a head kick. Hughes tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Stone fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hughes manages to avoid it.
Stone connects with an inside leg kick.
Hughes steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Stone. That one must have hurt.

Stone fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Stone throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Hughes fails to land with a series of punches.

Hughes stuffs the takedown attempt from Stone. Stone gets slowly back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stone shoots in and bounces Hughes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Stone is working Hughes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Stone dives in and grabs Hughes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hughes pushes down on Stone's head and hops out.

Stone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Stone swats away the attempt to clinch by Hughes.

Nice sprawl there from Hughes as Stone shoots in.

Hughes throws a big shot that misses.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Stone lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hughes has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hughes and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Raul Hughes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Stone buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Stone misses with a takedown attempt - Hughes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Stone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stone throws a nice outside leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stone throws a jab but it's blocked by Hughes.

Raul Hughes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Stone has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
