Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Carlos Villefort!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karamazin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Karamazin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Villefort circles away.

Villefort bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Villefort tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Karamazin tries to buck Villefort off but Villefort is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ground and pound from Villefort seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Karamazin is not content to let Villefort control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Carlos Villefort was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Karamazin is looking to take a break and control but Villefort is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Karamazin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Villefort is just riding it out for now. Karamazin eventually gives up the hold.
Karamazin frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Karamazin has hold of Villefort's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Villefort manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Villefort defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Karamazin.

Karamazin looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Villefort wants to control but Karamazin is having none of it.
Karamazin fails to advance to Villefort's back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Villefort shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Villefort showed some decent athleticism there.
Karamazin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Villefort's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Villefort's back!

Villefort is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
