PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Keller Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinnie Vector (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vector comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I'm Coming Home kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Vector catches Rock right on the button with a cross.
Rock has his takedown stuffed
and Vector counters with a leg kick.
Vector buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Vector lands a head shot.
Vector scores with a punch to the head.
A shot to the liver by Vector. Beautiful body shot.
Vector lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Vector.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vector connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rock. Rock circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Good standup being displayed there by Vector as he connects with a hook.

Vector scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Vector moves into range and clinches up with Rock.
Vector has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rock avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Vector breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No joy there for Vector, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Vector swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Vector tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rock swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vector tries to clinch but Rock moves out of range.
Vector leaves Rock with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Vector, as that shot connected.

An inside leg kick lands from Vector.
Rock takes a kick to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rock takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Vector clobbers Rock with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Rock drops his hands momentarily and Vector takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Vinnie Vector seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vector lands a jab to the head.
Vector pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rock on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Vector is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Rock had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Vector thumps Rock with a low kick.
Vector tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
An inside leg kick lands from Vector.
Vector moves in looking to clinch but Rock pushes him off.
A decent looking cross lands there for Vector.
Rock misses with a takedown attempt - Vector sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keller Rock. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rock shoots in for a takedown but Vector shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Rock shoots in but no luck this time.
Rock takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Vector listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Vector fails in his attempt to clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rock tries for a takedown but Vector circles away easily
and Rock takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vinnie Vector dominated that round.
That's time! Rock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Rock stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Vector.
Rock on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Rock. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Rock gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Vector counters with a nice uppercut.
Rock changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vector tries to avoid it but Rock manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vector to the ground. Vector escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rock gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Vector scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vector connects with a body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A nice inside leg kick there by Vector. That's going to slow Rock down.

Vector lands a left and a right that send Rock crashing to the mat, dazed. Vector thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Rock is rocked!

It looks like Keller Rock has been cut.
Rock is aggressively charging in as Vector backs up avoiding any damage. Vector tosses out a jab and Rock runs right into it face first! Rock is out cold! Vector dropped down on all fours and is barking in Rock's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
