Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cornegy throws a head kick that misses.
Martin shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cornegy eats them both and turns towards Martin to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Martin. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Martin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cornegy but Cornegy pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cornegy can do anything to dispel that myth.
