Gomez comes to the cage accompanied by I Put The Finger On You. McCall has chosen Biffy Clyro - Living Is A Problem Because Everything Dies as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A decent looking body kick lands there for Gomez.
McCall blocks the body kick.
Gomez misses with an uppercut. McCall saw that one coming.

Gomez rushes McCall and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gomez tries a body shot but McCall blocks it.

Gomez looking to throw knees to the head but McCall is blocking nicely.
McCall lands a left hand.
Gomez lands a hook that snaps the head of McCall backwards.

Gomez lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
McCall on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
A right handed body shot lands from McCall.
McCall blocks an uppercut.

A nice left hand lands by McCall.
McCall lands with a short punch from the clinch.

McCall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gomez feints and then cracks McCall's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McCall down.

and McCall counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gomez moves out of range of the body kick from McCall.
Gomez wants to land a leg kick but McCall is out of range.
McCall lands a nice leg kick that just misses Gomez's sensitive parts.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gomez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

McCall throws a low kick, looking for Gomez's leg but Gomez calmly moves out of range.
Gomez misses the jab.

McCall buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
McCall scores with a leg kick.
Gomez is breathing heavily.
A nice inside leg kick there by McCall. That's going to slow Gomez down.
McCall connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Gomez is rocked!

It looks like Felipe Ferra Gomez has been cut.
McCall is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Gomez flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Gomez is out cold! McCall holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
