Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hej Hoppsidaisy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Hoppsidaisy.
Hoppsidaisy closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Striker ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Striker throws out a powerful jab.
Striker tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Hoppsidaisy misses with a jab, cross combination.
Striker shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hoppsidaisy as he jumps to the side.

Hoppsidaisy looks to land a combination but Striker avoids it well.
Striker scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Striker falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hoppsidaisy counters with a series of strikes. Striker will be more careful next time no doubt.

Hoppsidaisy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Striker seems to have recovered his senses.
Striker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Striker fails with a takedown attempt.

and Hoppsidaisy counters with a straight right hand.
A low kick from Striker is predictable there
and Hoppsidaisy counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Striker decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Hoppsidaisy kicks Striker off and gets back to his feet.

Hoppsidaisy throws the left hand but Striker avoids the punch easily.
Hoppsidaisy throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hoppsidaisy throws a right hand that Striker ducks under and follows up with a left that Striker also avoids with ease.
Striker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hoppsidaisy tries to avoid it but Striker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hoppsidaisy to the ground. Hoppsidaisy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hej Hoppsidaisy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Striker.

Striker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hoppsidaisy to the mat! Hoppsidaisy manages to get full guard.
Striker wants to pass the guard but Hoppsidaisy is keeping the position.
Striker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hoppsidaisy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Striker fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Oh Hoppsidaisy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Striker misses with a takedown attempt - Hoppsidaisy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
