The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Figu paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Figu tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Figu drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Gan sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Figu wants to take a breather but Gan is having none of it.
Gan wants to control but Figu is keeping busy.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Figu thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gan's head.
Figu is thwarting Gan's attempts to control the position.
Figu is looking to take a break and control but Gan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Figu pulls his head out easily.

Gan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Figu's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Figu's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gan is cranking Figu's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Figu! He's tightened the choke and Figu is tapping out!
