Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Russian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rey Salac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rey Salac is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fedor Russian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rey Salac!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russian throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Salac misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Salac scores with a push kick.
Russian is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Salac tries to close the distance and clinch up but Russian swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fight stays on the outside here - Salac looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Salac throws a sloppy head kick and Russian moves out of range easily.

Salac moves into the clinch successfully.
Russian goes for a takedown in the clinch but Salac prevents it.
Salac is trying to break free.
Russian gets underhooks to prevent Salac's takedown attempt.
Salac is trying to push Russian away but Russian has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Salac jumps guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Russian has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Salac is proving hard to escape from.
Salac is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Russian controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Salac is adopting a defensive guard.
Salac is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Salac is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Russian defends it well.
Russian is looking to control Salac's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Russian avoid being mounted?
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Salac in particular looking to stall.
Salac wants to lay and pray for a moment but Russian keeps working.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rey Salac wasn't active enough on the ground.
Salac shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Russian as he jumps to the side.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Salac tries to score a power double leg takedown but Russian sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Salac somewhat.
Rey Salac seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Salac takes a jab right on the kisser.

Salac tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Russian paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Russian bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Russian avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Salac pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Russian throws a series of punches but Salac avoids them all with ease.
Rey Salac is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Fedor Russian is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Russian will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Russian throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Russian moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Salac is looking to reverse the position.
Salac is trying to control Russian's posture but Russian avoids it.

It looks like Rey Salac has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
You can see the frustration on Salac's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Russian decides to stand back up.
Salac seems to have recovered his senses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Salac tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Russian manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A decent looking cross lands there for Russian.
Russian is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Salac shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Russian pinned against the cage. Russian gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Salac takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Salac takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Russian lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Salac has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Salac and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Russian lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Russian.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A jab-cross combination lands for Russian and sends Salac crashing to the mat! Russian follows him down to the mat - Salac regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
