Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Liam Brady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksandr Fedorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Liam Brady!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aleksandr Fedorov!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedorov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brady is fending him off so far but Fedorov persists. Nope, Brady circles away and we're back to standing.
Brady shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fedorov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Brady is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Brady has his foot on Fedorov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fedorov works his way back into a safe position though.
Fedorov has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Brady to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Fedorov is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Brady pulls down on the head and he's put Fedorov to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Liam Brady!
