Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Augusto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua is looking to clinch.
Augusto fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rua looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Augusto digs a good body shot into Rua's ribs.

Rua decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Augusto is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rua pulls his head out easily.
Augusto slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Rua is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Augusto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rua defends well.
Rua really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Augusto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rua loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rua stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Augusto swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Augusto is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Rua wants to control from the top but Augusto keeps moving.

Augusto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rua gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Augusto has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rua can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rua has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Augusto to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Rua is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Augusto pulls down on the head and he's put Rua to sleep! This one is all over!
