Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Erik Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabricio Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Erik Gray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabricio Rodrigues!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gray shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rodrigues sprawls well. Rodrigues wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gray gets slowly back to his feet.
Rodrigues misses with a double jab.
Rodrigues rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gray moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gray throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rodrigues's waist but Rodrigues gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gray off to one side.
Rodrigues throws a series of punches but Gray avoids them all with ease.
Gray shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rodrigues as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erik Gray. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gray shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rodrigues defends it nicely.
Rodrigues swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rodrigues misses with a series of wild punches.
Gray scores a takedown into full mount!

Rodrigues in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Gray looking to finish Rodrigues with some ground and pound. This is bad for Rodrigues!
Rodrigues tries to hold on but Gray pushes him away.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rodrigues can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee warns Rodrigues that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Rodrigues wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Gray.
Gray throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Gray unloads with some shots from mount but Rodrigues bucks and avoids them well.

A big strike lands for Gray! That's really hurt Rodrigues and he's turned his back - Gray keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Gray jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
