Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Conrad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Barbossa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Conrad might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rider Part II. Anthony Barbossa has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbossa lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Conrad at a distance.
Conrad misses the shot to the body.
Barbossa fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Conrad is out of range.
Conrad tries to land a leg kick but Barbossa saw it coming and moves away.
Conrad throws a body punch but Barbossa moves out of range.
Jack Conrad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barbossa lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Conrad feints and then cracks Barbossa's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Barbossa down.

It looks like Anthony Barbossa has been cut.

and Barbossa counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Conrad's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Conrad bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Barbossa's head.
Conrad tries to close the distance and clinch up but Barbossa swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Barbossa closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Conrad did well to prevent Barbossa getting side control.
Conrad wants to control but Barbossa is keeping busy.
Barbossa frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A close round but Anthony Barbossa will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Barbossa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Barbossa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Barbossa throws some wild stikes that Conrad manages to avoid easily.

Barbossa goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Conrad is on top in guard.
Barbossa wants to hit a switch here but Conrad passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Barbossa there!

Conrad lands a big shot there that rocks Barbossa but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That has opened up Anthony Barbossa's cut even more.

Anthony Barbossa's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Anthony Barbossa's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
