PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Brawler Brawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brawler's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Outlaw by The Lordz. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Brawler Brawler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brock Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


It looks like Jason Brawler Brawler has been cut.
Lesnar misses with a double jab.
Brawler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lesnar pinned against the cage. Lesnar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Brawler feints and as Lesnar raises his hands in defense, Brawler changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lesnar has momentary wrist control but Brawler slips an elbow through the middle.
Lesnar is looking to stand up but Brawler isn't so interested in that idea.

Lesnar pushes Brawler off and gets back to his feet.
Brawler fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Lesnar closes the distance and pushes Brawler back into the cage.

Lesnar goes for a takedown attempt but Brawler pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Lesnar is trying hard to land a takedown here. Brawler sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Lesnar throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brawler tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lesnar is in Brawler's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lesnar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Brawler pushes Lesnar off and scrambles back to his feet.
Brawler wants to clinch

and Lesnar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brawler's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Brawler has his feet on Lesnar's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Brawler looks to land a combination. Lesnar sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Lesnar dives in and scores a takedown into Brawler's guard.
Lesnar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brawler works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lesnar won't allow Brawler to get back to his feet.
Lesnar throws a strike but Brawler rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Brawler tries to clinch but Lesnar moves out of range.
Brawler buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Brawler shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lesnar wants to stand but Brawler is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brawler stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Brawler lands with a thumping leg kick.
Lesnar on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Brawler shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lesnar but Lesnar pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Brawler Brawler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lesnar throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Brawler stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lesnar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Lesnar has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

and Brawler holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Brawler could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Lesnar jumps guard and drags Brawler to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Lesnar wants to stand and escape but Brawler is having none of it.

Brawler throws a series of punches but Lesnar avoids them all with ease.
Lesnar jabs Brawler to the body, keeping him at a distance.

and Brawler counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Brawler.
Lesnar pulls Brawler in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brawler would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Brock Lesnar hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Lesnar shoots in but no luck this time.

Brawler throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lesnar was covering up waiting for the punch and Brawler finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Lesnar controls Brawler momentarily but Brawler frees himself.

Lesnar is looking to stand up but Brawler isn't so interested in that idea.

Lesnar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Brawler has hold of Lesnar's hands but Lesnar slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Lesnar thows a huge punch but Brawler dodges it nicely.

Lesnar seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Brawler drops his hands momentarily and Lesnar takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lesnar can do anything to dispel that myth.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Lesnar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brawler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brawler is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lesnar can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Lesnar really wants to buck Brawler off and get back to his feet.

Brawler is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lesnar is surviving well by controlling Brawler's body position as best he can.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lesnar bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Lesnar throws and elbow that misses. Brawler uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lesnar's guard. Nice move by Brawler!

I think Lesnar has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
